Abstract

The co-infection of COVID-19 and malaria presents a significant challenge to global health, particularly in regions where both diseases are endemic. While there is limited data on the prevalence and outcomes of co-infection, existing studies suggest that individuals with co-infection may experience more severe symptoms and have a higher risk of mortality. Additionally, the diagnostic challenges associated with differentiating between the two diseases and the potential for co-infection to exacerbate existing health disparities highlight the need for further research and targeted interventions to address this issue.
